This 1970's Pearl ‘Fw-522' drum kit uses Pearl's ingenious Wood-Fibreglass shells.
With a 6-ply Luan shell with an inner coating of Fibreglass, which "permits greater internal vibratory response thus providing one of the most sensitive and brilliant sounding instrument made today. Its excellent tone quality of the dynamic power provides today's modern drummers with deep satisfaction."
This kit has been wrapped in a lovely wood-effect vinyl material that really makes it stand out. The original 'Snow White' wrap is still on the drum underneath, so could be restored back to its original finish if so desired. As you can see from the photos some of the vinyl has shrunk around the lugs, but this is purely cosmetic and is only noticeable up close. The sizes are 22x14", 13x9" and 16x15".
The kit has some signs of use, however the tension rods have all been greased, and the toms batter heads and bass drum reso head have been replaced with Brand New Code heads that sound superb. Everything is original except for the floor tom legs and brackets which have been replace. There is no tom arm included.
