Here we have a really underrated beast, the Yamaha 7000.
This Japanese made (the best) Yamaha SD-755B snare drum is a superb snare drum for an incredible price. It has a 14x5.5" 5-ply wood shell, comprised of a mixture of Asian Mahogany and Camellia (a Japanese hardwood similar to Oak). Complete with Yamaha hi-tension 10-lugs, with the same strainer as the infamous Recording Custom snare drums, only with a non-adjustable butt end.
This snare is a real workhorse, well suited to the studio for its consistency and reliability. The snare comes with all original parts, including working internal dampener.
The snare has been serviced in house at Horny's Drums (post photos), and fitted with a partially used Remo Coated Powerstroke 3 batter head and Remo Diplomat Hazy snare side head.
